OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY is extended to the family of  Wilma Scott.  We received word on Wednesday that Wilma passed away on Monday, January 16 following a stroke.  Her funeral was held on Thursday, 1/19 in Chattanooga, TN.

GLENN SARGENT is scheduled to have knee replacement surgery on February 1st.

Helen White has been battling some very difficult health issues.  I plan to visit with her this afternoon to find out more details.  Please remember her in your prayers.

BONNIE CRABTREE is recovering at home after a stay at the hospital for issues with her blood pressure and other health concerns.

KATHY STACY continues to recover from a recent medical procedure to help alleviate the pain that she has been experiencing.  Please continue to pray for Kathy.

CATHY McGAUGHY is experiencing some problems with her back & knee.   Please pray for her.

SIDNEY SKIPWITH, friend of Dawson Moorer, has been diagnosed with cancer.  Please remember him in prayer.

HARRISON LEFF, a senior at MCS, continues to battle several difficult health issues.

SYLVIA COMPTON, Christal Coker’s mother, is in rehab in Meridian for breathing problems due to COPD and emphysema.  Please remember her in your prayers.

COREY MAGEE continues chemotherapy treatments.

HOLMES WILLIS, brother of Sandra Dowling, underwent gamma knife treatment for trigeminal neuralgia on December 16th in Oklahoma City.

DANNY STARNES, cousin of Loretta Pounds, has been diagnosed with colon cancer.

RALPH ERWIN, Mark’s father, is undergoing chemotherapy treatments for lung cancer. Please pray for him and his family.

ROB CORNELIUS, son of Warren and brother of Mary Richardson, has been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease. Please remember Rob in your prayers.

B.J. GALLAHER, Ross’ father, is battling some health issues.

JERRY BARR, former Creekwood member, is home from the hospital after being treated for a lung condition. He is doing a little better. He also is battling a blood disorder.

EUNICE WARSH is recovering at home from recent surgery performed to try to clear up an infection that had developed in her hip following her recent hip replacement surgery. She welcomes visitors!

EDDY WEBB, uncle of Rachel, Ryan, and Aaron Myers, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Please pray for him and his family.

MARY KATHRYN HARRISON, daughter of J.T. & Rebecca Harrison, came through her brain/spinal surgery well. Please continue to pray for Mary Kathryn and her family as she recovers and possibly faces additional surgery.

CECIL WIGGINS is out of rehab and staying at her daughter’s (Susan Thomas) home. Please continue to remember her in prayer and visit with her when you are able.

LARRY LIVINGSTON, Barbara Howell’s brother-in-law, is undergoing radiation treatments for 5 weeks -5 days a week for 1 tumor that still showed on a PET scan. Please keep Larry & Charlotte in your prayers and give thanks to God for the progress already received.

LISA STOGNER, friend of Omer Oglesby, has been diagnosed with throat cancer.

VIOLA THACKER is battling several health problems. She will be undergoing chemo treatments for additional cancer cells that have been found.

GERRY VAUGHAN, former Creekwood member, is recovering from 2 broken ankles. Gerry appreciates so much all the messages they receives from the church. Please pray for Gerry and Lester – and let them know that you are.  

VONNIE BUSBY is back home and doing better. She is continuing some treatments on an outpatient basis. Please remember Vonnie, Tom, and the family in your prayers.

LOUISE BROWN, Alan’s mother, is battling some difficult health issues.  Please remember her in your prayers.

JENNIFER FULK, wife of Greg Fulk (youth minister for the Margaret St. church in Milton, FL) is undergoing cancer treatments.

MILTON PENDLEY (Eric Gray’s grandfather) is battling prostate cancer.

TOMMY TOMLIN, Nancy Moorer’s brother, is battling some serious health issues.

MARY HOLLY HOSIER, a co-worker and friend of David Eddlemon and Ka Kinman, has been diagnosed with a genetic muscle disease.  Please pray for her and let her know that you are. 

MARTHA TODD, a very close friend of Randy & Roxie McGilberry, has been diagnosed with cancer. Cards of encouragement would be welcomed.

DAWN HARDEN, Joey Adams’ mother, is battling some serious challenges with her health.

CONGRATULATIONS TO JENNIFER AND MARK BUTTS upon the birth of a baby boy!  David Philip was born on Monday,  January 23rd . Everyone is doing well.  Big brother, Brock, is excited!  Ricky & Freda are the proud grandparents.  Kyle is one of the proud uncles.  Thad and Monica and the boys are thrilled, too!

YOUTH NEWS –  

·          TONIGHT High School Devo at the home of Matt Presley

·          Sunday, Feb. 5th -- 3rd Annual CrossCreek Bowl (flag football).  All teens and men invited. Cottage Hill Park at 2pm.

·          Sunday, Feb. 5th -- Super Bowl Party after evening services at Chris & Anita Presley's.

GULF COAST BIBLE CAMP MEN'S SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT- Scenic Hills will be hosting a Church of Christ softball tournament on Saturday March 3rd in Pensacola.  All proceeds will benefit GCBC and the cost is $20 per player which will include lunch.  Johnny Waldroup will be there with his grill cooking up some great food and it will be a great time of fellowship.   The church bus will be available and will leave in the morning.  There is a sign-up sheet at the welcome center.  You must be 14 to play and the deadline to sign up is February 3rd. See Mark Aldred with any questions.

LADS TO LEADERS & LEADERETTES NEWS:

·          A large group of our Lads and Leaderettes participants are in Grand Bay this morning leading the Sunday morning services and some Bible classes for the Grand Bay Church of Christ.  Let’s continue to support our young ladies and men!

·          Adult Registration fees $35/person are due. Forms are located at the Welcome Center in the foyer. The student's fees are paid for, so we just need the adult's fees paid.  Please make your payment to Creekwood and give to Marcelle or Hilary.

·          Year Round Puppeteering – Grades 6th – 12th and Grades 2nd – 5th.  Year Round Bible Reading. Please sign up at the Welcome Center.  See Tina Hood with any questions

·          The 8th Grade Puppet team will be meeting every Wednesday night in January and February @ 6:30 p.m.

·          BIBLE BOWL PRACTICE AT 6:00 PM tonight.  Please be studying in preparation for the “Big” test to be given on February 8th.

AZALEA TRAIL COOKBOOKS

Two of our Creekwood girls, Ali Presley and Lacey Sargent, have been selected to serve as Azalea Trail Maids this year.  The Azalea Trail Maid Organization is offering cookbooks for sale in order to offset costs associated with the program.  If you would like one please sign the sheet on the Welcome Center. The cost of each cookbook is $15.00. The cookbooks will be delivered in March and payment will be collected when they are delivered.  Thank you so much for your support.
