Too "Bzzzzy"  (Busy)

A few years ago an unemployed cleaning woman in St. Louis Missouri noticed a few bees buzzing around the attic of her home. Since there were only a few, she made no effort to deal with them. Over the summer the bees continued to fly in and out the attic vent while the woman remained unconcerned, unaware of the growing number of bees. Soon the whole attic became a hive, and the ceiling of the second-floor bedroom finally caved in under the weight of hundreds of pounds of honey and thousands of angry bees. While the woman escaped serious injury, she was unable to repair the damage of her accumulated neglect.

This woman's experience teaches US a very important lesson:  We must not get so busy that we neglect the important matters in our lives.  Accumulated neglect can wreak much havoc in our lives.

Are YOU too busy?  Are you more like Mary or Martha?

"Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Jesus into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word.  But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, 'Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.'  Jesus answered and said to her, 'Martha, Martha, you are WORRIED and TROUBLED about MANY things!
But ONE thing is needed
-- and Mary has chosen that GOOD PART, which will NOT be taken away from her'" (Luke 10:38-42).

Oh, there are things – even IMPORTANT things – that we, like Martha, can and should do.  However, let us learn from Mary that some things are more important than others; some things must not be neglected.  Jesus said, "ONE thing is needed."  What was that " ONE THING?"  To HEAR and to HEED the Word of God.

HEAR and HEED the Word of God:  place your trust in Him (Hebrews 11:6), repent of sin (2 Corinthians 7:9-10), confess Jesus (Romans 10:9-10), be baptized (immersed) into Christ for the forgiveness of your sins (Acts 2:38), AND commit your life to HEARING and HEEDING His Word (1 Peter 2:1-2).

Are you TOO BUSY to ACT on that "ONE needful thing"?  If so, you are
TOO BUSY!

HEAR and HEED the Word of God before "TOO BUSY " becomes "TOO LATE! "

God bless you!
