Vertigo

I am told that pilots learning to fly in weather with very poor visibility can experience
a sensation know as “vertigo.” They cannot tell by looking out the cockpit windows whether the plane is flying at a level attitude, turning left or right, or whether it is going up or even straight down! They become completely disoriented to where the plane is in relation to the ground, but they may not even be aware they are experiencing the problem. The ONLY safe way for a pilot to fly in weather like this is to learn to look at, interpret, and trust the plane’s instruments. The pilot MUST guide the plane by what the instruments tell him is reality!

The Bible should be to US what those instruments are to the pilot. It’s a time when we take our eyes off of the confusing, misleading input our senses are receiving from the world outside, and concentrate on the truths we can trust to guide us safely to our destination.*

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God (literally, God-breathed), and is profitable   for:
      What’s right   – “doctrine”
      What’s wrong – “reproof”
      Getting right   – “correction”
Staying right   – “instruction in righteousness”

that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work"
(2 Timothy 3:16-17).

The Bible is a God-given instrument to lead us to Him and to His will for our lives. This instrument (God’s Word) reveals that it is God’s will for us to be in a right relationship with Him. This instrument also informs us that the ONLY way to this relationship with Him is through Jesus, His Son.  We are instructed to believe in
Christ (Acts 16:31),
repent of our sins (Acts 17:30), confess Jesus before men (Romans 10:9-10), and be baptized for the forgiveness of our sins (Romans 6:3-4). And as long as WE continue - to read and follow the instrument panel of God’s Word, HE will continue - to forgive us and lead us to that destination He has prepared for us (1 John 1:7).

"There is a way that seems  right to a man, but in the end, it leads to death"
(Proverbs 14:12). MANY navigate their lives by trusting their instincts or what "feels" right to them; but even these are unreliable when it comes to discerning right from wrong, and can give us false information causing spiritual
“vertigo.”
Read, trust, and follow the ONLY infallible
instrument that God has provided.  Then, and ONLY then, will you reach the right destination.

Check the instrument panel - your LIFE depends on it!

God bless you.
