The
Greatest Offer
Ladies,
have you obtained your free cosmetic products?
The
“Cosmetics Cases Information Website” reports:
“As part of a class action
settlement, $175 million worth of free cosmetics
products will be distributed to members of the class
[i.e., those who fit certain criteria as outlined on
the website] for a maximum of seven days, while
supplies last, on a first come, first served basis,
beginning on January 20, 2009.”
Fourteen
retailers are offering free cosmetics and perfume as
part of a settlement from a 2004 lawsuit alleging that
the stores conspired with cosmetics companies to fix
prices. Customers
who purchased these products between May 29, 1994 and
July 16, 2003, are eligible for the free products.
The giveaway ends on Monday, January 26, or
while supplies last.
News
reports indicate that there are long lines at many
department stores all over the U.S., filled with those
who want who want the free merchandise.
Commenting
on these events, Neal Pollard has made a sad but keen
observation:
“It is interesting that there are no long lines of
people standing and waiting to get the benefit of the
Greatest Offer of ALL TIMES!
There is an offer being made to give
people an escape from eternal condemnation and a home
in heaven for a never-ending eternity.” *
Cosmetics
are often used to cover “blemishes” (real or
imagined) on the skin....
But the Greatest Offer concerns an agent that not only
COVERS but REMOVES the greatest “blemishes” –
the blemishes of the soul – of each
and every person: SIN (Romans 3:23).
This
covering and cleansing agent came at a great price:
the death of Jesus, God’s Son.
It is the blood of Jesus, when applied to our
lives, covers and cleanses our souls from sin
(Ephesians 1:7). His
blood will cover and cleanse our sins when we place
our trust
in Him (Acts 16:30-31), turn from
sin in repentance
(Acts 17:30-31), confess
Him before men (Romans 10:9-10), and are baptized
(immersed) in His name (Acts 2:38; 22:16).
The
Bible describes the Greatest Offer as a “FREE
GIFT ” “For the wages of sin is
death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
It is FREE because Christ has paid the price
for our sins. However,
we must accept the Gift on His terms.
The
Greatest Offer is available NOW! (2 Corinthians
6:2)
Don’t
miss it due to delay.
Accept the Gift on the Lord’s terms and be
cleansed from the stain of sin.
